Profile
Built on the waterfront of the Mediterranean Sea
right in the heart of the Beirut Central District, there
are 82,000 m2 of multi-functional areas of international
standards,expressly designed to direct a variety of
events. Over 1 million people have visited BIEL in 2002,
attending events such as exhibitions, trade shows,
consumer shows, conferences, concerts, banquets,
weddings, fashion shows, launches, internationally and
nationally televised media events, as well as all kinds
of public and private shows.
The Beirut International Exhibition and Leisure
Center is the most professionally and technologically
advanced convention and exhibition facility in the Near
East region. It is comprised of several buildings
designed to hold any kind of event, large or small. The
Hall 1 and Hall 2 take up to an area of 15,000 m2. The
second structure, the Pavillon Royal, is a 2,000 m2
banquet hall. Located above this is the terrace for
outdoor receptions. Underneath the Halls and Pavillon
Royal, is the 1200 m2 Conference Center. The third
structure is the seafood restaurant Mandaloun sur Mer,
which is open to the public for lunch and dinner as well
as for private parties.
Located 10 minutes from the Beirut
International Airport, BIEL consolidates Lebanon's
status as the business hub of the Middle East and
strengthens its role as the main gateway to the area.
